ABOUT SUNDBERG AMERICA
We are proud to have recently celebrated 100 years in business, serving the appliance industry. This has been achieved because, as the market changed, changes were made to the company that allowed it to recognize and meet changing needs.
In 1912, the CE Sundberg Company started selling appliances door to door. As the availability of home electricity grew, the market for home electronic appliances grew with it. By 1921, Sundberg was operating 13 retail stores in the Chicago area.
During the Depression, money for new appliances was less easy to come by, but that led to a growing need for appliance repair. Recognizing this, Sundberg transitioned its business to become a distributor of appliance parts to repair professionals. Locations were expanded throughout the Midwest and HVAC parts were added.
With a keen understanding of the pressures the economy has placed on the appliance repair technician, the experienced and diverse management team has been hard at work adding technology – the goal of this is to make it easier and faster for our customers to get the part they need when they need it. Today Sundberg America utilizes state of the art internal systems and internet technology that can keep our customers and our parts inventory closely connected. Combined with our customer service team and our locations throughout the Midwest, we are committed to delivering on our promise, “When you need a part…we get it”.
We are certain that, in order to celebrate our 200th anniversary, we will need to face new challenges and make new changes. Our history indicates that we can and will successfully accomplish this.
